Dua to Seek Refuge from Laziness, Sins, and Afflictions (Sahih Al-Bukhari 6368)

Dua to Seek Refuge from Laziness, All Kinds of Sins, and Afflictions

    Narrated `Aisha (رضي الله عنها):
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say:

"O Allah! I seek refuge with You from laziness and geriatric old age, from all kinds of sins and from being in debt; from the trial and affliction of the grave and from the punishment in the grave; from the affliction of the Fire and from the punishment of the Fire; and from the evil of the affliction of wealth; and I seek refuge with You from the affliction of poverty, and I seek refuge with You from the affliction of Al-Mesiah Ad-Dajjal. O Allah! Wash away my sins with the water of snow and hail, and cleanse my heart from all the sins as a white garment is cleansed from the filth, and let there be a long distance between me and my sins, as You made East and West far from each other."

Sunan Ibn Majah 2144: No Soul Will Die Until It Has Received All Its Provision

Sunan Ibn Majah 2144 is a profound narration that reminds us of Allah’s complete control over our provision (Rizq) and lifespan.

    Sunan Ibn Majah 2144

It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"O people, fear Allah and be moderate in seeking a living, for no soul will die until it has received all its provision, even if it is slow in coming. So fear Allah and be moderate in seeking provision; take that which is permissible and leave that which is forbidden. "

  • Istighfar (Seeking Forgiveness) Brings Rizq - Insights from Surah Nuh (Verses 10-12)_421.png

Istighfar (Seeking Forgiveness) Brings Rizq - Insights from Surah Nuh (Verses 10-12)

In Surah Nuh, Allah emphasizes the importance of seeking forgiveness (Istighfar) as a means to attract blessings and provision (rizq). These verses serve as a reminder of Allah’s mercy and the abundance that comes from sincere repentance.

    Surah Nuh Verses 10, 11 and 12

    فَقُلْتُ ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارًۭا ١٠

    يُرْسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًۭا ١١

    وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَٰلٍۢ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّـٰتٍۢ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَـٰرًۭا ١٢

    "I said (to them): ‘Ask forgiveness from your Lord, verily, He is Oft-Forgiving;

‘He will send rain to you in abundance,

‘And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.’"

At Barakah Jobs, our mission aligns with the teachings of the Quran as we strive to promote halal income and ethical work opportunities. May we all be blessed with halal rizq and barakah in our lives.

Listen, reflect, and share this reminder with others!

The Power of Dua from Quran 28:24: Prophet Musa's Prayer for Sustenance

Introduction: Understanding the Power of Dua

Dua, or supplication, is a direct form of communication with Allah (SWT). It is a way to seek His mercy, guidance, and sustenance. Among the many beautiful Duas in the Quran, one stands out for its simplicity and depth: the Dua of Prophet Musa (AS) from Surah Al-Qasas (28:24). This is a supplication for provision and help at a time of great need.

    The Dua from Quran 28:24

    The verse reads:

So he watered (their flocks) for them, then he turned back to shade, and said: "My Lord! truly, I am in need of whatever good that You bestow on me!"

    the Dua:
     رَبِّ إِنِّى لِمَآ أَنزَلْتَ إِلَىَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍۢ فَقِيرٌۭ

"My Lord! truly, I am in need of whatever good that You bestow on me!"

    (Quran 28:24)

This powerful prayer is a reminder of our dependency on Allah for all forms of provision and sustenance. It was made by Prophet Musa (AS) after fleeing from Egypt and finding himself alone and in need of help. The simplicity of the Dua reflects complete reliance on Allah's mercy and the acknowledgment that only He can provide what we need in difficult times.

Applying This Dua in Your Life

Muslims can recite this beautiful Dua when seeking Allah's assistance, especially in times of financial or personal hardship. It is a reminder to humble ourselves before Allah, acknowledging that all good comes from Him. By making this Dua, we not only seek physical sustenance but also spiritual and emotional support, asking for Allah's Barakah (blessing) in every aspect of our lives.

In times of need, this powerful Dua from Prophet Musa (AS) reminds us to place our trust in Allah alone.

    Conclusion

The Dua from Quran 28:24 is a timeless supplication that holds great significance for Muslims worldwide. Whether you are facing financial struggles, career challenges, or personal difficulties, turning to Allah with this simple yet profound Dua can help you find the sustenance and guidance you need. Remember, Allah is Ar-Razzaq (The Provider), and by sincerely asking for His provision, you open doors to His abundant mercy and blessings.

Barakah Jobs: Long-Awaited Project Update & Introduction of Amanah Companies

As-Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh!

My name is Rabeeh Ameen, and I am the founder of Barakah Jobs.

This website has been a small, mostly self-funded project run by me personally. Alhamdulillah, from the beginning, our goal has been to stick to the Shariah and remain sincere in everything we do. We’ve always aimed to align the platform with Islamic principles and offer you a solution to a very real problem finding Halal Rizq In roles and companies that do not cause you to compromise your deen.

Unlike other platforms focusing only on companies in Muslim countries or similar initiatives that came after us, we’ve committed to these principles from day one, ensuring we do things the right way, inshaAllah.

    Our Unique Features & Challenges

From the start, we’ve been clear with our terms and conditions and introduced special job search filters such as "segregated workspaces for men and women" to ensure jobs meet our criteria. الحمد الله, we were the first to conceptualize, introduce, and implement these ideas, and it's important to clarify that.

However, we've faced challenges, especially financially. While the site has always been and remains completely free for candidates and mostly free for employers, it’s still a one-man project.

Development and maintenance costs are considerable and will grow as traffic increases.

If you believe in what we're doing, you can support us through the 'Support Us' page to help maintain and grow the project. InshaAllah, with Allah’s help it will support future plans such as building a small internal team removing our reliance from freelancers.

Companies are welcome to work with us through sponsorships to advertise using our internal platform and reach our growing user base in a non intrusive manner. Please note that sponsorships are also subject to a strict screening process.

Addressing Screening Concerns & Amanah Companies

Sourcing jobs and companies that meet our Shariah-compliant criteria has been one of the most difficult tasks. We experimented with manual job scraping but never attempted importing jobs using Google APIs due to quality concerns.

Neither approach met the Shariah compliance we aimed for. That's why we developed Amanah Companies, based on trust, using screening questions to ensure we work with companies that share our values.

It’s important to note that despite our best efforts i.e. our clear terms and conditions, screening questions, and job search filters we do ultimately rely on an Amanah system (trust), we do not take responsibility for vetting companies or roles. We also encourage you to do your own research about each role or company.

Barakah Jobs is not a gimmick nor another Muslim oriented project lacking any substance or sincerity I believe that’s been clear in our reserved advertising and thorough approach.

My vision was to create a viable solution in a very direct and non compromising way. Although there is room for improvement and there will be further upgrades. I believe today with "Amanah companies" Alhamdulilah we have accomplished that.

We now need your help to grow this project organically, inshaAllah.

Alhamdulillah, we’ve taken the final steps toward ensuring that Barakah Jobs always prioritizes quality over quantity. Let’s grow this platform together with your help and Allah’s guidance.

E-books and other resources, both ilm-based and professional, are coming soon, inshaAllah! Stay tuned!

Barakallahu Feekum, Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh!
