Your company or role you are offering must not be directly or indirectly involved in dealing with riba (interest). Examples include being a lender that gives interest-based loans or a bank that is not certified as Shariah-compliant and deals with riba.
Please note we screen banks and financial institutions thoroughly as many claim to be Islamic institutions yet still deal in riba in some manner among other things.
We do not allow financial institutions of any kind besides those certified as Shariah compliant I.e Islamic banks. Shariah compliant institutions must have a dedicated internal Shariah department that individually reviews each product rather than just a Shariah board that meets sporadically.
Banks can also present evidence to us directly themselves to demonstrate their Shariah compliance. Your company must not produce or sell any adult content (pornographic material of any kind) or entertainment that is not in accordance with the Shariah i.e has music or promotes or contains haram elements such as music, drugs, alcohol, intoxicants, of any kind.
Your company must not produce any merchandise or products that are not in accordance with the Shariah such as pork, drugs, alcohol, intoxicants, Your company must not be involved in the insurance industry, or provide insurance services. Your company must not be involved in gambling or fraudulent work.
Must not be a religious or educational institution that is promoting religious beliefs or creed other than that of authentic Islam or an Islamic institution that is not upon the methodology of the companions and the authentic Sunnah or Atharicreed.
Does the workplace or role prohibit Muslim women from adhering to Shariah-legislated dress codes, such as wearing the hijab or niqab, and Muslim men from keeping their beards without requiring them to trim or shave it?
Does the company accommodate candidates' religious obligations, such as prayer, fasting, and attending Friday congregational prayers (Jummah), upon mutual agreement with the candidate?
Does the workplace provide segregated workspaces for men and women, ensuring no free mixing and maintaining clear professional boundaries between opposite genders?
Do you enforce a dress code that at the very least requires and encourages modest clothing for all your employees?
Do you play music or have other elements in the workplace that could disrupt an Islamic work environment?
Does the company provide designated prayer breaks and within reason facilitate an environment that allows candidates to pray easily and maintain other religious obligations or forms of worship.
Do you provide on-site facilities for ablution (wudu) and prayer, or are you willing to accommodate candidates who need to seek these facilities elsewhere?
Do you allow for reasonable leave during Eid or other religious holidays?
