About the role:
INTO University of Exeter is now recruiting for three positions on its Summer Support Team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge and experience of working within the Student Services Department.
Duties will include offering a meet and greet service to new students; organising and participating in a summer social programme; taking part in student inductions and encouraging INTO’s international students to integrate into Exeter student life.
Working within the wider Student Services Team providing administrative support, you will contribute to ensuring a positive student experience.
These positions are being advertised on a part-time fixed-term basis, due to commence 1st June 2023 and end on 22nd September 2023. Each position will involve an average of 30 hours of work per week (i.e. 0.8 Full Time Equivalent (FTE).
About You:
You will need a good knowledge of Exeter and the University campus with the ability to advise students of the on-campus services available. We welcome applications from University of Exeter students with good local knowledge.
you will also need to be flexible and creative with the ability to bring in new ideas to encourage student integration; have the enthusiasm to encourage student participation and be a good team player. Previous experience of supporting students, preferably from international or similarly varied backgrounds, is desirable.
Working hours will vary depending on needs and will include weekend and evening duties, and you will be required to comply with a duty rota system Monday to Sunday. As you will be expected to provide student support outside of INTO office hours, weekend/evening employment or regular personal commitments that would restrict this would need to be considered during the application process.
