Job Title : Head of IT - Pakistan Unilever Location : Karachi, Pakistan Reports to : Head of IT - South Asia MAIN JOB PURPOSE: The purpose of the role is to help drive business performance by leveraging technology as a competitive advantage and enabling delivery of that technology in the market, aligned to the UniOps experiences and strategy. JOB SUMMARY Support UniOps strategic priorities in Pakistan through working closely with the journeys/experiences and global platforms to enable growth Own technology roadmap for the business, aligned with the global strategic roadmap and journeys/experiences view to ensure driving business value in the cluster. Be able to spot opportunities of using global technology solutions within the Cluster, drive adoption of the global solutions. Be accountable for high uptime resilience of business critical systems Be a master communicator. Ensure that business leaders are well informed about how technology can drive their business, any major risk areas implementation plans, financial impacts. Manage and deploy all elements of the technology programmes, including all programmes under IT Investment Board, Application Lifecycle Management and BAU Project budgets and operational systems. Ensure the optimal risk profile of projects and programmes based on business needs. Ensure effective resource balancing and prioritisation across the South Asia programmes and projects. Manage the Geo technology team, including virtual teams, and 3rd party service providers. Ensure effective decommissioning and life cycle management of all local and Business Managed Applications, ensuring the applications are maintained in a supported state. Attract and develop talent across technology team to be able to work in an agile, collaborative and digital way. Be an active team player across the technology leadership team driving common ways of working and leveraging our global scale. Focus on continuous skills development of the Geo IT team and end users in the Cluster. KEY REQUIREMENTS • Deep technology experience, minimum 10yrs, with experience in CD technology and SAP ERP • A demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-project / programme and stakeholders across a large organisation • Strong financial management and stewardship • Ability to inspire and motivate a high performing team to deliver value using agile methodology where the teams are self-directing, non-hierarchical and empowered. • Adept at operating in a multi country environment utilizing the matrix to deliver results • Well versed in local country data privacy laws and able to ensure compliance • Strong Collaboration skills • Commercial mindset - ability to translate technical opportunities into business outcomes (and vice versa, to link business requirements to technical solutions) • Strong network within the company - credibility to lead the dialogue with senior leaders and Technical leaders • Transformation DNA - thought leadership to take Unilever to best in class in the peer set.
